Our Internship Program for Future Solution Engineers is designed to give fresh graduates meaningful hands-on exposure and a strong foundation as they begin their journey toward a fulfilling engineering career.
Fritzie Lou Lapina‑Fenecios serves as Operations Manager at TecSurge, where she oversees day‑to‑day operations and leads all departmental managers in ensuring seamless delivery across the organization.
Fritzie joined TecSurge in 2021 as a Cost Controller, following senior roles in global engineering organizations including Fluor Corporation, JGC, Dash Engineering, and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding, where she built deep expertise in project planning, scheduling, and control.
Today, I am proud to highlight the stories of three interns who embraced the challenge of working in our world of industrial digitalization: Jaimes, John and Alfred.
Over a year-long immersive experience, each of them rotated across our core operations departments and contributed directly to real client projects. They trained using the same essential tools and materials as our full-time engineers and received close mentorship from subject matter experts who guided them through technical responsibilities and professional expectations.

Each intern begins with a full rotation across all disciplines, gaining hands-on exposure to the tools, workflows, and deliverables of every department. By the last quarter of the program, they are assigned to a specific department where they dive deeper into the technologies and processes that drive our operational service delivery.
From there, they take on meaningful real-world responsibilities — supporting 3D modelling, assisting with technical troubleshooting, managing engineering data, or producing 2D deliverables. All of this happens under the guidance of department managers and project leads, ensuring they grow while contributing to actual project outcomes.
Alfred Martinez is a now a Junior Solutions Engineer at TecSurge, where he contributes to delivering engineering data and software services with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cebu Technological University (2019–2023).

John Mari D. Alob is a Computer Engineering graduate from Jose Rizal Memorial State University – Main Campus, Class of 2024. A lifelong learner, Jaimes Eduard T. Barlizo also completed intensive training through the Department of Information and Communications Technology focused on graphic design, further strengthening his technical capabilities. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Catanduanes State University.
Jaimes shared: “The most interesting part of the Internship Program for me was the actual project work and the problem‑solving involved. At first, the dialect was a challenge because I didn’t understand much of it, but over time I adjusted and learned.
