Celebrating 15 Years of Inspiration

Singapore, December 16th, 2023. In recognition of Anton Schreibmueller and his 15-year anniversary of working in Asia, I was recently asked to speak at our company year-end gathering. Here’s what I said to mark the occasion:
Patrick Mackinlay, Principal Consultant at TecSurge, directs product management and technology for the company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Curtin University and has over 25 years of experience in the plant design industry.
Prior to joining TecSurge, Patrick held senior technical and consulting roles with NRX and Intergraph, after 9 years with several EPCs as a systems analyst and administrator.
Some of you may know that before I joined CAXperts, I had already known Anton for many years. Fewer of you may also know that during that time, Anton was not my colleague, but rather a kindred spirit, and most importantly my wingman. I have many stories about our adventures together, but unfortunately most of them are unsuitable to share in polite company. What I can say, is that being an effective wingman requires not only the ability to occasionally take one for the team, but also to inspire trust in others.
I have a very deep respect for Anton's honesty and loyalty, which are exactly the ingredients necessary to inspire that trust, and I can see these values strongly reflected by the people around him and in the company that he has created at TecSurge. I have seen first-hand how the integrity that we demonstrate when dealing with each other and our clients results in better relationships and results and give Anton a great deal of credit for leading the way and asking us to emulate this approach in our work.
Anton has led us through some bad times and some good times, and consistently sought out quality people to join your journey and done the right thing by those around him time and time again. I'd like to say thank you personally, and on behalf of the company for all your friendship, leadership and tireless efforts, and hope that your new venture will be as successful and fulfilling for you as I am certain TecSurge has been and will be for many years to come. So, to conclude, I'd now like to ask everyone to raise a glass and propose a toast to my dear friend and our President & CEO Anton, wishing him the best of health and fortune for all his future endeavours.
