The Client
The customer is a natural gas producing company, majority owned by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
With a process capability of 5,500 million standard cubic feet of feed gas (MMSCFD) per day and producing 285,000 barrels of condensate, 4,500 tonnes of sulphur and 28,000 tonnes of Natural Gas Liquids per day, the customer is currently one of the largest gas processing companies in the world.
The Challenge
The customer’s primary requirement was to provide a web portal giving read-only access to data contained within the SmartPlant Foundation system, along with a presentation-level integration to the Maximo system.
The company was in the process of finalizing the upgrade of SmartPlant Foundation to 4.3, along with the usage of other SmartPlant tools SP P&ID, SPI, SPE, PDS and SmartPlant Review.
Our Solution
We have proposed, two options for providing this portal implementation:
- Option 1, to utilise the standard Intergraph portal technology, and perform all possible configurations to try to match the presentation provided by the customer in a design mock-up, or
- Option 2, to develop entirely new custom portal components, to allow us to more precisely match the design mock-up provided by the customer.
The decision was taken to proceed with option 1
Our solution included the configuration of the standard Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation web portal to meet the customer’s corporate brand guidelines as closely as possible. In addition, custom SmartPlant Foundation development and configuration was performed in order to deliver a presentation-level integration of Maximo work order data to users working within the web portal.
