The Client

Our customer is the largest owner-operator in India, and incorporates operations and maintenance, as well as engineering and construction divisions. The company is currently executing a project to expand a refinery in Jamnagar, India which is considered to be one of the largest such expansions in the world. Around 18 design and engineering contractors are working on the expansion including the customer’s own engineering department.

The Challenge

The company selected Intergraph’s SmartPlant Materials application to digitize and automate materials processes from end to end, including within the engineering, construction and operations phases of the Jamnagar expansion project.

As a user of the SAP ERP solution, the company required various points of integration to be implemented between the SmartPlant Materials (SPM) system and SAP, which were not available as standard functionality within the SPM product.

The scope of services included the analysis, development and testing of the required integrations between SAP and SmartPlant Materials environments.
