Senior Solution Engineer – SmartPlant Foundation

Position Summary/Purpose

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for providing services including technical support, consulting and customer support for Information Management solutions, primarily SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO).

Experience with document and tag management, and SmartPlant Enterprise integration are required. Knowledge of CDW, MTR, VTL, SPC, Fusion and other SPF-based solutions would be an advantage.

You will perform key project roles related to the configuration of Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation. This position requires advanced configuration and customisation knowledge, including a detailed understanding of cross discipline application configuration and administration in an integrated, multi discipline project environment.

You will interested and flexible in understanding new products and technologies, and apply creativity to solving technical problems.

Your Role

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configuration of SPF/SPO including the understanding of SPF schema.
  • Customization of SPF/SPO including client and server matching customer requirements.
  • SmartPlant Enterprise integration with other tools such as SPEL, SPI, SP3D, SPPID and SAP.
  • Providing specialist advice and technical guidance on the operation of SPF/SPO.
  • Preparing, reviewing and obtaining close out approval of the deliverable punch list.
  • Reviewing the functional specification document and updating as required.
  • Writing technical documentation on the delivered configuration.
  • Assist with the software installation and integration with other design tools.

Your Competencies

  • A graduate qualification in computer engineering or similar.
  • At least 6 years of experience using or managing SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Owner operators in the engineering industry.
  • Technical skills in plant engineering, mechanical engineering or process engineering desirable.
  • Knowledge of system analysis and project engineering.
  • Programming skills (.Net) and XML technology desirable.
  • Database knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL) desirable.

Other Important Competencies

You should also display:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Windows or software applications.
  • Willingness to work as a member of a team.
  • A desire to master new technologies and solve problems.
  • Flexibility and efficiency in working in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality results.
